Mimosa appeared around 1850 in the gardens and homes of the French Riviera thanks to its favorable climate. The English installed on the French Riviera in the nineteenth century brought this bright yellow flower. And still today, these golden pompons illuminate the gardens.
Nowadays, there is a dedicated tourist route to this emblematic flower of the French Riviera. The Mimosa Road stretches a distance of more than 100 km between Bormes-les-Mimosas and Grasse and passes through several villages where the sun flower remains prosperous.
